Paul O’Conor is an Executive-in-Residence at Watermill Ventures and Watermill Advisors. He was the Chief Marketing Officer at WebGen Systems, Inc., a provider of internet based solutions that help businesses reduce their energy consumption. Before WebGen, he was the Chief Marketing Officer at Oco, Inc., a business intelligence software provider. While at Oco, Mr. O’Conor created a variety of sales and marketing programs. During this period, the company doubled in size each quarter. Previous to Oco, Inc., Mr. O’Conor was the President and CEO of L. Farber Company, Inc., a manufacturer of high end, leather and injection molded shoe components, a manufacturer of women’s wear and a retail chain of 215 stores. During his tenure at L. Farber Company, Inc., he grew annual revenues from $14 million to more than $185 million in less than 12 years. Additionally, he coordinated 28 individual acquisitions and established manufacturing operations in the Peoples Republic of China, resulting in significant improvements in bottom line profitability while maintaining superior quality. Mr. O’Conor is a current member of the Chief Executives’ Organization and was a former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, where he held several positions in the New England Chapter and on the International Board. He is also a former member of the Harvard Community Health Plan’s Finance Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of several schools, most recently, The A. D. Little School of Management. Mr. O’Conor received his B.A. from Gettysburg College, his M.B.A. from Columbia University and conducted his post graduate work at the American School in Switzerland. He is married with two children and enjoys tennis, sailing, hiking, golf, and reading. |
