Thomas Karthaus is an Associate at Watermill Ventures. He is responsible for evaluating and coordinating potential transactions as well as providing project-specific assistance to portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Watermill, Mr. Karthaus worked as a Summer Associate at Fisher Scientific International in their Corporate Development division. While at Fisher, Mr. Karthaus performed in-depth market analysis to assess the attractiveness of new markets and to identify the best way for Fisher to participate in those markets. Mr. Karthaus began his career at The Blackstone Group where he held a variety of positions. He joined Blackstone as an accountant responsible for financial and management reporting. Mr. Karthaus later transitioned to Blackstone’s Proprietary Hedge Fund division where he was involved in all aspects of launching Blackstone’s first proprietary hedge fund and creating a platform on which to launch others.
Mr. Karthaus received his B.S. at Fordham University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. Mr. Karthaus received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
