Dividend retweets Part II: how to Build a Private Equity Twitter Account
3. Behind the Scenes
One of my personal favorite templates is Watermill Group’s Twitter account, which incorporates a great mix of behind-the-scenes looks at its portfolio companies and its team. It also tweets interesting articles the team has been reading. If the PE firm does this right, it makes the firm’s team look, well, human, which is something many PE execs have never been able to do.
the Limitation:
How human is too human? A PE firm could stray too far and focus more on tweets about what’s going on in the office vs. what’s going on with its portfolio. Keep it balanced like Watermill does.
